As Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) become increasingly prevalent in modern communication systems, concerns over privacy and security become paramount. This paper addresses the crucial aspects of anonymity, unlinkability, and unobservability in the context of routing protocols within MANETs. With the decentralized and dynamic nature of MANETs, preserving the privacy of node identities, preventing linkability of communication events, and ensuring unobservability by adversaries are vital to thwart various attacks. This study investigates the theoretical foundations and practical implications of integrating mechanisms for achieving these privacy-enhancing goals within MANET routing protocols.
